"I also had feelings of missing my old school and that perhaps that I had made the wrong decision by even changing schools at the age of thirteen."

I went to a single-sex school in the 8os. I had been to a mix-sex school prior to going to Norwood Girls School where I spent three years and they were happy times, but also hard that I did feel intimidated by the girls. I also felt that the girl’s school was hard in the sense that I started getting bullied by the girls because I was new to the school.
I also had feelings of missing my old school and that perhaps that I had made the wrong decision by even changing schools at the age of thirteen.
If I compare my two experiences, I think of how the girls were obsessed with the idea of the boys at the single sex school, at the mix school we tended to talk less about the opposite sex, at the girls school there were more issues and problems related to how my body as a woman was changing, at the mix school the issue of body change or any other issue related to how my body was changing was never really discussed.
That was in the 1980’s I’m hoping things have changed.
Tell us how school life is for you?
